For this project, I had to work on the refurishment of the Cork Distillers Building. The brief was to transform the building into an accountants office.

IOA Accountants wanted an updated hip and young thinking office space. I was required to design an office space and a coffee shop that is a separate entity to the office.

This space includes designs for a reception, various offices, communal areas, a boardroom, meeting rooms, a hub room and hot desking space.

For my concept, I took inspiration from the grid pattern of the existing windows. I tried pulling apart and overlapping the square shapes to see what kind of configurations I could create.

I then brought it into 3D, much like a rubix cube, and took away pieces to mimic space and void. I put square pieces around the cubed model which may act as pathways or structural designs. This concept was applied to my buildings design.
